Chronos free spins: four levels, multipliers up to ×24
Chronos – Sands of Eternity turns time into a ladder. Big symbols with multipliers do the work in the base game, the free spins climb through four levels, and the last level pays back everything you won on the way up. Here is how each part works in the UK version.
Big symbols and multipliers
Chronos – Sands of Eternity is a 5×4 slot with 20 fixed paylines, but the symbols do not always fit into a single square. In the base game the high symbols — Chronos and the four other characters — and the wild can land either as a normal 1×1 tile or as a 2×2 block covering two reels and two rows.
Every 2×2 symbol carries a multiplier between ×1 and ×12. Any line win that runs through that block is multiplied by it. When a win runs through more than one big symbol, the multipliers are not stacked on top of each other — they are added together. A ×4 block and a ×6 block in the same win give ×10.
Wild and scatter
The wild is a steampunk wheel of time. It substitutes for all regular symbols and, like the high symbols, can arrive as a 2×2 block with its own multiplier. Five wilds on a payline pay 25× the bet — the same as five Chronos symbols, the top-paying character.
The scatter is the hourglass. It does not pay on lines; its job is to open the free spins and, once you are inside, to move you up the levels. The low symbols are 10, J, Q, K and A, drawn as golden cogs and clockwork royals.
How the Chronos free spins start
Land hourglass scatters anywhere on the reels in one spin:

On average the round arrives about once in 225 spins. During the free spins a meter tracks every hourglass that lands. Each time it reaches three scatters, you move up one level and get six more spins.
The four levels in full
Level 1
A big symbol every spin
Starts with the 6, 8 or 10 spins you triggered. Every spin shows at least one 2×2 high symbol or wild, each with a random multiplier from ×1 to ×12.
Level 2
Mega symbols join
+6 spins. 1×1 and 3×3 symbols are added. The 3×3 mega symbols land only on reels 2, 3 and 4 and carry ×1 to ×24. Every spin has at least one 2×2 or 3×3 high symbol or wild.
Level 3
Higher floors
+6 spins. 1×1 and 2×2 symbols carry ×1 to ×24, and 3×3 symbols carry ×12 to ×24. Again, at least one 2×2 or 3×3 high symbol or wild appears on every spin.
Level 4
Money & Collect
+6 spins. The reels show only blanks, Money symbols and Collect symbols. The round cannot be extended after this level.
Money & Collect, explained with an example
Level 4 works differently from the rest of the game. The regular symbols disappear, Money symbols carry the wins you made in levels 1 to 3, and each Collect symbol that lands gathers every Money value on the screen.
Here is a purely hypothetical illustration, not a real payout. Say levels 1 to 3 paid 40× your bet in total. In level 4 those winnings come back as Money symbols. If a Money symbol and a Collect symbol land on the same spin, the Collect gathers that value, and a second Collect later would gather whatever Money values are showing at that moment. So the more you built up in the first three levels, the more there is for the Collect symbols to sweep up — which is why reaching level 4 with a strong total matters.

Special Bets
Special Bets — the Ante Bet idea — raise your cost per spin in exchange for more scatters. Paying 1.5× the bet doubles the chance of triggering free spins; paying 2.5× the bet makes it five times higher. Whether your casino shows this menu is up to the casino, so check the game. If it does, remember the £5 UK cap applies to the full amount you pay per spin, and that a higher chance of the bonus does not make the game cheaper to play.
Chronos bonus buy: not available in Great Britain
